From Earth to Space: Practical Applications of AI in Sustainable Food Systems

Earth has been so generous in providing fresh and nutritious food for human consumption but because of anthropological activities, its capacity to ensure continuous natural production diminishes. This entails the need to incorporate advanced technologies, hence, Green Revolutions existed. Ensuring food security is a paramount concern in exploring space. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into food systems offers innovative solutions to address the issues of climate change and the unending challenge of food sustenance. This talk will delve into the practical applications of AI in enhancing and revolutionizing traditional farming methods into smart and energy-efficient food production. Furthermore, discussions about how the direct applications of AI in simulating space environment for Earth-based artificial gravity farming experiments will be highlighted. Through the synergies of AI and food systems, we will uncover how AI technologies are transforming the way we produce, transport, and consume agricultural produce.
